LETTERS OF THE ALPHABET AND LANGUAGE USAGE
LEARNING CONTRACTIONS

lyrics

I can not, I can't,
I will not, I won't,

These are contractions, words that I'll say.

It is easy, it's easy,
I am pleased, I'm pleased.
To shorten my words, this interesting way.

When writing contractions, use apostrophe,
A line for a letter, that's what one sees.
In words such as your's, hadn't and she'll,
Shouldn't , wouldn't that's and he'll.

Oh I will bet, I'll bet you'll see.
You'll use contractions, just like me.

It's a way to make one word from two.
Yes, using contractions isn't hard to do.
